I started my yoga journey in 2011 at the behest of my then oncologist. If you had told me that I was going to be a yogi all these years later I would have laughed in your face, because at that time, I had this convoluted idea that all you did was sit around in linen pants and chant, drink Kombucha and talk about chakra alignment. It’s funny now, but at that time the idea of yoga scared me. Ask me about my first hot yoga class if you want the laugh of the century. Seven years later, I am in remission and I couldn’t be happier with my yoga lifestyle.
For three years, I practiced Hatha style yoga at various studios both in New England and in the Pacific Northwest. I’ve competed twice in the USA Yoga Federation state competitions, and I’ve qualified once for the National competition. In 2012, I decided to yoga around and I found a heated vinyasa studio and fell head over heels in love with flow style yoga. In 2013, my mentor urged me to go to teacher training, with his help and the help of two other instructor friends, we created a “yoga lab” at our studio and they helped me study and sequence to prepare for my training. My two loves are teaching and Vinyasa. In my own practice, I enjoy several different styles of yoga: Vinyasa, core power, Tripsichore, and Hatha. And that’s why I appreciate seeing what Vinyasa can handle. It’s my passion to put together a flow where there are no ends to postures just beginnings of the next, with as many different style of yoga added in. Along the way I’ve had the pleasure of practicing and teaching with some incredible yogi mentors that I am proud to say have helped guide me into the teacher I am today, and for that I am ever in their debt. |
I am a wife and mother of 4 adult children. Yoga became part of my life about 8 years ago when I was training for triathlons. I went to yoga for a “rest” day and to become more flexible. From my very first practice, I was hooked. Yes, it was a rest from my other workouts but added so much more to my life. Yoga helped me find flexibility in my body and also in my mind. I love the stillness and strength yoga has to offer. I recently finished my YTT at Exhale Yoga in May 2020. I feel blessed and honored to be part of the Exhale team! |
My name is Andrea and I am an LMT as well as a 200-hour graduate of S.W.I.H.A.’s yoga teacher training program. I have been practicing yoga for three years and massaging for two and a half. Well-being for the body, mind, and spirit has called to me since I became a young adult. I believe that through connecting breath to movement you can silence the chatter of the mind and open yourself to spirituality. Through stretching shortened muscles and strengthening the weakened, you can ease pain in the body by correcting disfunction. Please join me for unheated flow on Mondays and Wednesdays and Yin on Thursdays to find your silence, heal your body, and explore the spirit within.

Gretchen has been a lifelong yogi and practicing for over 20 years. She came to her mat for the benefits of yoga on the body and ended up finding so much more. She completed her dream of becoming a yoga teacher thru Exhale Yoga’s YTT program, graduating in spring 2020, with her RYT 200. In addition to being a yoga teacher, Gretchen is a classically trained opera singer and teaches voice lessons out of her private studio in Gilbert, Arizona. Thru breath and movement, Gretchen uses her yoga knowledge in her vocal teaching and performance. She is honored to be on the staff at Exhale Yoga and loves to practice on her own when she is not teaching.

I fell in love with the practice of yoga at my darkest season of life. A dear friend persistently nudged me to take her class and when I finally showed up, I was a sobbing, blubbering mess, but all the lights went off in me and I knew with all of my being I was supposed to teach this to others. So in 2016 I completed my RYT 200 and my RYT 500 in 2018. I’ve always been passionate about helping others on their own journey to find wholeness within themselves and to create a healthy lifestyle, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. These areas are so interconnected and when one area is struggling, they all are. Insert YOGA here! Yoga teaches us to face ourselves, our limitations, our highs and lows and everything in between, to be present with ourselves, be challenged in all the ways, but most importantly to move all that stuck emotion and trauma out of our body through the simple, yet powerful connectedness of breath, movement, and stillness. You can truly get whatever it is you need when you show up on your mat. All the struggles and challenges we face as we flow in and out of poses and shapes, reminds us that we can face hard things off our mat too, and find peace in the middle of chaos. I love to flow and I really love the heat of a hot yoga room. You’ll often catch me finding ways to add playful movements to the beat and rhythm of a song and yet find a way to still the mind and body and let the breath shine. Vinyasa Flow, Hatha, and Therapeutic Movement practices are my jam. It’s my heart to create a space where you feel free to laugh, cry, dance, sing, grunt, breathe, and just simply BE! I love teaching, I love learning, and I am always excited to get on my mat with you!!

ASU in 2006 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Kelli began practicing yoga shortly after her daughter was born in 2006. It was after an instructor introduced Kelli to vinyasa yoga and arm balances that she became hooked. She began a daily yoga practice in 2014. She took her first hot yoga class the same year and loved it from the very first class! She completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2014 and has been teaching and practicing around the valley ever since. Kelli currently lives in Mesa with her husband, two kids, two cats, and a tortoise! Kelli’s classes are high energy, vinyasa/hatha style, with a focus on alignment. Don’t be surprised to see an arm balance or two mixed into her classes. Kelli’s classes are for all levels, she believes that yoga is for everyone. If you can breathe, you can do yoga
“Yoga means addition – addition of energy, strength and beauty to body, mind and soul.”
